Dr. Abdul Kalam was the 11th President of India, he was born on October 15, 1931 in Tamil Nadu, India. As profession he was scientist and engineer. Dr. Kalam is one of the most distinguished scientists of India. His hard work and determination leads him to honorary doctorates from thirty universities and many other civilian honours. In July 25, 2002 he became the president of India. He had the belief that power of technology can resolve the problems of the society. He was responsible for the development and operationalization of AGNI and PRITHVI Missiles and for building indigenous capability in critical technologies through networking of multiple institutions.
Kalam donated his income from his first 10 months in office to a NGO. He has written several books
