Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is India's most popular and successful star of Indian films. Amitab was born at Allahabad in 1942.His father Harivansh Rai was a well known Hindi poet. In his early life he worked in a shipping firm. Amitabh Bachachan got fame in 1973, Since then he had been working in some box office hit movies like Namak Haram, Don, Sholay, Silsila, Deewar and still performing for the next generation.

Amitabh Bachan also took part in politics and became member of the parliament in 1984, but he then soon resigned from his seat.Amitabh fell in love with a popular actress Jaya Bhaduri,and they got married. The couple has two children Swetha and Abishek Bachchan . His son Abishek also choose acting as profession and became a top star in Indian films.

Madame Tussauds in London has made his wax statue which reflects his fame and popularity. The 60 plus aged Bachchan is showing no signs of slowing down and he still remain the "Stars of Stars".
