The beauty green eyed Miss world 1994 was born at Mangalore, India. Aishwarya was brought up in a middle class background. She pursued her graduation in Architecture from an Indian College. At the age of 17 she was the winner of Ford supermodel contest. As a Model she first appeared in a Tv commercial of a soft drink "Pepsi". She became the Ist runner up in the Miss India Femina contest which leads her to the Miss world crown 1994, soon she became 1994 Miss World.
Aishwarya Rai is the first Indian actress to be on the jury of the Cannes International Film Festival (2003). She was also featured on the cover of the Time magazine. The beauty Ash had also worked in Hollywood movies and gave her appearance in Tv shows. She had been the hit in some top Indian films like Taal, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, Bride & Prejudice, Umrao Jann and many other hit movies. On January 14, 2007 Abhishek and Aishwarya officially announced their engagement and they got married later. Abhishek Bachan the son of Amitab Bachan a top star of Indian films.
