William Henry Harrison

William Henry Harrison the 9th President of the United States. He was was born in 1773 at Berkeley. After studying classics and history he began the study of medicine in Richmond. Suddenly Harrison switched interests. He obtained a commission in Army.
After resigning from the Army in 1798, he became Secretary of the Northwest Territory, was its first delegate to Congress. Harrison was nominated for President in 1840. In a very short time in office on April 4, 1841, he died, Harrison was the first President to die in office.
