John Kufuor

John Kufuor is the current president of Ghana. He was elected as president of Ghana on January 7, 2001. The full name of John Kufuor is John Kofi Agyekum Kufuor. The president was born in Kumasi December 8, 1938. By profession he was a lawyer. Kufuor is married to Theresa Kufuor who was a Nursing Manager by profession, with whom he has five children. The couple has now eight grand-children.
Kufuor passed his Honours BA degree in 1964 in Economics, Philosophy and Politics from Oxford University. He was subsequently confirmed, in accord with Oxford traditions, with the Master's degree by the University.
Kufuor was elected as the Chairperson of the African Union for the 2007-2008 AU session.
