William Christopher Smith Jr. now known as Will Smith began rapping when he was only 12 years old. His earliest recognition was as a musician and in 1990 his fame boosted up as an acting star when he starred on a hit television production "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".
Smith co-starred in many major box-office hit's movies of the time like Bad Boys, Men in Black, Independence Day and many other which gave him a high ranking place in the acting and silver screen world.
In 1988 Smith as musician with Jeff Townes won the first ever Grammy in the Rap category.
